  1. IYC

    Senior Yacht Accounts Manager

In a senior yacht-accounting capacity, Justin developed extensive experience overseeing the financial administration of multimillion-dollar vessels. His work encompassed operating budgets and funding, accounts payable, reconciliations, owner reimbursements, capital and operating expenditures, and international payment accounts.

This experience sharpened his ability to establish strong financial controls, maintain clear reporting, and provide reliable visibility into complex, high-value operations.

  2. Fraser Yachts Florida

  3. Oilspill Response USA Inc.

International Accounting — Oilspill Response USA Inc.

Before specializing in yacht accounting, Justin gained international accounting experience at Oilspill Response USA Inc., part of ORSL, a UK-based company operating within a broader overseas organization.

Philosophy

Seeing the complete financial picture

A client's financial life should not be viewed as a collection of disconnected transactions.

A tax return tells part of the story. A profit and loss statement tells another. Neither, on its own, explains how the pieces interact.

Business income affects personal taxes. Entity structure affects compensation and liability. Real estate and investment decisions reshape cash flow and multi-year planning. Major assets—whether a company, a portfolio, or a vessel—carry operating realities that the filing alone does not show.

Justin’s work at MFS is oriented around that complete picture: helping clients understand where they stand, surface issues earlier, and make clearer decisions as circumstances change. Engagements may include tax preparation, accounting cleanup, ongoing reporting, tax planning, business advisory, or specialized maritime matters—scoped to what the situation requires.

Specialty & application

Maritime experience, broader application

Maritime remains a distinctive part of Justin’s background. Years inside yacht accounting and administration build an operational view that is hard to develop from tax work alone: ownership entities, operating accounts, crew costs, vendors, capital projects, and substantial ongoing cash needs behind a single asset.

That perspective travels. The same habits—understand the economics first, then fit accounting and tax around them—apply when complexity comes from multiple businesses, investment property, concentrated assets, or layered personal and entity reporting.

  • Owners coordinating personal taxes with entity-level activity
  • Investors balancing cash flow, financing, and multi-year tax consequences
  • Professionals whose income, structures, and major purchases no longer fit a simple filing model

Engagement

Working with Justin

The aim is a closer working relationship than a once-a-year handoff—without assuming every engagement includes every service.

  1. Understand the situation

Start with how income, entities, assets, and priorities actually fit together—not a generic checklist.

  2. Establish reliable records

Bring reporting, reconciliations, and supporting detail into a form that can be trusted for decisions and filings.

  3. Identify issues and opportunities

Surface inconsistencies, gaps, and planning questions earlier, while there is still room to act.

  4. Stay involved as things change

Remain part of the conversation as businesses, properties, vessels, or personal circumstances evolve—scoped to the engagement, not assumed for every client.

McGregor Financial Services is for clients whose financial lives have become too interconnected for transactional accounting—and who want a professional capable of seeing the bigger picture.
